Beautiful, moving and significant historic place. In addition to being the resting place for fallen soldiers, known and unknown, it was the site of Lincoln's Gettysburg Address. Lovely grounds, state memorials, and a real must see as part of understanding the Civil War losses. More

This cemetery is so quiet and wonderful. The showplace is the site where Lincoln gave his Gettysburg Address. There are beautifully arranged unknown and known soliders from the civil war by each state they were from as well as the standard military issued stones for other veterns. This a must see in Gettysburg. More

we were lucky enough to catch a walk / talk by one of the best rangers in the park (recommended by a volunteer). the explanations for the layout of the cemetery, the arrangement of the graves, the thought behind and reasons for the statuary were above and beyond the usual. deep, insightful and thought provoking - and asking for audience... The whole area is great, we drove all around and it was very interesting. We were very surprised to discovered that you can go to the top of the Pennsylvania monument (what a great view !!)Don't miss it-there is a winding staircase that has 60 steps, but it is worth the walk up !! More
