This is similar to Pike Place Market in Seattle, it is busy but the variety is fantastic. If you are on the hunt for an inexpensive meal then Reading will deliver. Best if you walk the isles before you commit to make sure you have got the best. They are a few places offering very good and inexpensive breakfasts eg pancakes $3.95. Worth a visit for the variety and atmosphere.

A guided tour that features the history of the market and dining in Philly is available on Wednesdays and Saturdays. Crowded, noisy but fun market.
