Even though this was recommended by a friend my expectations were low. What could you possibly do for $5 in NYC? This place was great. We 3 of the 5 comedians who performed and the other 2 were pretty decent. If you want entertainment and you are open to try something new...head to UCB! Seriously...five bucks!!!

This is the best 10 bucks you can spend in NYC! You've got writers and actors from SNL, 30 Rock, the Colbert Report doing Improv. The wit is top notch. You'll even have big names like Amy Poehler stop by. All this in a really intimate dive bar basement!!!

This is a great spot to see some up and coming improv actors. We had a great time at the Jews vs. Christians battle night. The chairs are small and they pack this place every night. The show was not nearly as long as other places I've been though.

If you're in the city for a couple of days, this needs to be high on your list of things to experience. I had heard great things but left feeling like I hadn't laughed like I wanted to. Easy reservations and affordable entertainment in NYC but maybe the actors just weren't on this particular evening. Inviting more audience participation would help the audience know for sure that the improv isn't pre-planned.

Based on Tripadvisor reviews, I got tickets to ASSSSSCAT3000 for our trip last week. We reserved ahead of time for the 7:30 show ($10 tickets).
