Some go to the library more for its exhibits which are wonderful. But I find myself at the Performing Arts Library most often to tap into their wonderful holdings. They have some periodicals, for example, that even Columbia University's Butler Library system doesn't have! I took off one star from my mark simply because, being part of the City's library... More

Beautiful space and the Katherine Hepburn exhibit was wonderful. The exhibit included many costumes and clothes that Ms. Hepburn wore in her lifetime. She was a tiny woman!

I hadn't been to the Performing Arts Library in years, but the Katharine Hepburn show at the end of 2012 sounded appealing -- and it was: well-planned, informative, and fascinating. The first time I visited the Performing Arts library was when I was in college, and I was able to find a video tape of an East German theater production that I used as part of a research paper.
