Eric was an outstanding guide. He know EVERYTHING about the mob and corrects the views presented on tv. He is passionate...welcomes questions and grew up amongst them and knows his stuff. The tour stretched to 2 hrs, 15 min.....you couldn't leave..it was way too interesting. Probably the best tour we've ever done! Want to re-do it next time as there... More

Great Tour. Eric is personable and brimming with historical knowledge. He makes the past come alive with the descriptions of the architecture, sights, sounds, smells, and daily life of the early days of the first European settlers of Manhattan through to the present day. He carries a binder fully of historical pictures to help compare how it looks live to... More

Myself and some friends did the Mafia walking tour yesterday and were guided by Eric. It was a fascinating walk through the lower East side and although called the Mafia tour, included many other aspects of the area. Eric seemed to know everything about the area, and is local. He also spoke for much longer than the two hours, in... More

Was recently on a weekend trip to NYC with my family and we booked a private tour with Eric Ferrara from LESP. What an amzing experience!!! Was incredible to hear the history of the neighborhood and see all the places that those famous mobsters actually hung out. It was particularly interesting for us to learn about all the history of... This is the second Lower East Side History Project Walking Tour we have taken. First of all, the Lower East Side is one of the most crucial neighborhoods in understanding the history of all of New York City. Secondly, there are many different ways to understand this fascinating part of the City. I must admit the Movie and TV Locations... More

2 hours flew by in the company of our expert guide, Eric who intrigued, fascinated and delighted us with his painstakingly researched stories of life in the Lower East Side over the last century. Not only for Mobster fans, anyone with an interest in local history will love this tour as Eric brought to life stories of the 1000s of... More

Eric is the Executive Director and probably knows more about the history of the Lower East Side than anyone. He has been a consultant for several movies and TV programs and his passion for the area shows. We had 4 people and he customized a 2 hour venture. It seems as if he could do 4 or 6 or 8... More
