As a husband, father, son, and a first responder I soon realized that there was no way to get through this amazing facility without tears in my eyes. In fact - if you find that you did make it through without shedding a tear then you might want to do some soul searching. The Tribute Center has moved me more... More

Carried out by individuals with a connection to the events of 9/11, the guided walking tours are a first-class way to understand what went on and to see the memorial site, plus the new buildings that are being built. Our walking tour was conducted by a fire fighter who was there on the day. All the guides are volunteers and... More

I knew I would struggle to hold my emotions in whist visiting this tribute centre, and I was pleased they offered tissues. Even though I watched the events of 9/11 unfold from the other side of the world in Australia, I have always been really traumatised by this event. To see and hear the stories from people who were there,... More

This is a walking tour and is excellent....the centre itself is only average. Maria one of over 400 volunteer guides took us around the WTC memorial and explained everything including her own personal story. It is possible to go round on your own of course but this was 90 minutes of a very special walking tour by someone who was... More

Before travelling to NY there was some confusion about visiting the site and/or the Memorial. Once there my daughter and I made our way to the area and found the 9/11 tribute center who run tours. It was the absolute best and most memorable part of our trip. It cost $22 ( 17 for students)and lasts an hour and a... More

I participated in the 9/11 Tribute Centre Walking Tour and I'm so glad I had this opportunity. Our guide Sonya told us about her personal experience of the day, and stories of some of her friends who were unfortunately lost in this tragedy. The reflection pools are beautiful and have been so thoughtfully designed, and I can't wait to come... More

We found it by accident. The general public gets free looks but must stand in long lines. They have small groups going about 20, going out every 1/2 hour. We were able to bypass the long public lines at the security check. We saw the foot prints of the tower pools with great explanation by a 9/11 servivor. They gave... More

The attraction is free, but tickets are still required. Plan a couple hours to take it in. As you walk around the two Memorial Pools marking out the footprints of the fallen towers you can't help becoming overwhelmed by all the names of the victims carved there. Make sure to take a moment to see the Survivor Tree - the... More
