Stunning displays and live chamber music to enjoy a drink or a bite. Imagine that! Incredibly different art in various galleries. The Impresionists were my favorite!

This was my 3rd visit and I always choose a few exhibits to avoid being overwhelmed. This time the Photographs from the Civil War was on exhibit and was outstanding. My husband and I spent 5 weeks touring Civil War battlefields in 2003 and I still saw new photographs and new information at this exhibit.

It was amazing to see how huge this building was and all the art in it. The only downside was that there is so much to see, and if you do not have a tour guide you miss a lot of things. I only spent an hour there as I was on a school trip but, it is definitely worth...

The Met is stupendous and its new galleries are fantastic. Plan a few shorter visits because it is SOOO big, glorious and comprehensive that it overwhelms. Even the shop!
