Expensive, very long queues for each stage before reaching the heady heights of the viewing platform. I suffer from vertigo but couldn't miss this trip and I coaped well. Worst bit was leaving the first lift, but so worth thebutterflies in the tummy effect. The views are stunning over so much of Manhatten and the broughs of New York. Need... More

Brilliant view and one of the "must do and see" activities when in New York. Although I felt it was a little over priced.

I recommend visiting the ESB during the day and Rockefeller for the view at night. We visited using our New York pass, late one afternoon. We appeared to have missed most of the crowds and yet it still had to queue at various points to get the viewing floor. This added to our anticipation...but I imagine when it was busy... More

We went in the late evening and had a magnificent view of the lights. We paid to go to the 102nd floor but were disappointed as it was indoor. The view from the 86th floor is as good!!! If we'll go again we will go during the day and visit top of the rock at night!

You definately have to spend the extra money to go to the 102nd floor! The view is amazing at the 86th, but when you go to 102 it is a mind-blowing view! Well worth the money!!

There are so many lines to wait in, it is ridiculous. Just as you think you finally got to the elevator to go up, you are going to the 80th floor, have to get off and wait for another elevator (or in our case we took stairs 6 floors up). And the ticket is 25$, plus 17$ of you want... More

If you get the choice of Rockerfeller or ESB take the Rockerfeller ! . Fortunately we bought Express passes . It was worth the money fast tracked all the queues up and down. Very busy on floor 86.. Not A great amount of room felt like sardines. Views were good, weather was slightly overcast. I have been up the ESB at... More

A visit to Empire State Building is a must when visiting New York. Me and my daughter entered the building at 08:00 when they opened. No crowd, as we noticed the prior afternoon. The scenery from the view point is magnificant. We had a clear and brisk morning so we had very good visibility. The Statue of Liberty waved at us from a... I grew up in New York and this was only my 2nd visit to the ESB in 48 years. What was I thinking? There is something special and quintessentially New York about this building. The staff are very friendly and wear the same uniforms I remember from my last visit about 30 years ago. The views from the 86th and... More
