We now take our dog here on vacation every year. Where else can you take your dog with ease? I go in the water while my husband supervises our dog. Perfect! Overall, most people are responsible dog owners. Social dogs can run and have fun here with owner supervision.

Not only did we get to see the dogs having a great time playing and interacting with each other and their owners, but we also got to see several F-18s come in for a landing. The beach is clean and fun!

I live in Point Loma therefore my dog and myself are lucky enough to visit the dog beach in OB almost everyday. She absolutely loves to frolic and play in the ocean and the giant beach area designated for off leash dogs!

Even if you didn't have a dog, it would be a great place to visit. Fun is contageous and watching all those happy pups n peeps will make anyone smile. It has plenty of space to run, fetch or just sit n enjoy.

Not really well cleaned. Walk your dog at your own risk. Walk like you're treading through a minefield.

Clean, safe, secure, and so beautiful, this beach is all that & more. Our dogs arn't use to a beach. They (our dogs) had the best days of their lives.

There were too many people here with out of control and aggressive dogs. Every time I visited there were dogs fitting and owners yelling trying to control their untrained dogs running people over and such. If you are looking for a place to be on the beach off-leash with your well trained pooch, go to Fiesta Island...never have I seen... More

IF you have a dog and want to find a place to share the surf and sand with your pup, this is the place to come. There's plenty of room for your dog to run and play, interact with other dogs, or just dash into the surf after the ball or frizzbee you've thrown.

Two dog beaches In San Diego - one in Imperial Beach (I.B. to locals) and one in Del Mar. Imperial Beach is year-round and very large compared to Del Mar which is smaller. Dogs must be leashed at the Del Mar beach during the summer racing season. Large parking lot in Imperial Beach and 101 meter parking in Del Mar.... More
