We found the tour to be informative, and British Regular guide Michael, dressed in authentic period redcoat, was witty, funny, and reminded us many times that history as taught is usually written from the perspective of the winner. He explained away much of the myth and patriotic propaganda and delved into the real meat of the mood and state of... More

As our tour guide Michael guided us along the "Freedom Trail," he related many fascinating stories. As Michael pointed out the historical areas and buildings, he made the history of our great country's founding come alive. A visit to Boston is not complete without a tour along the "Freedom Trail." I suggest the tour "Lessons on Liberty," and if you... More

My friend and I were planning to go on a scheduled 2pm Freedom Trail tour, but got to the meeting area early and were surprised to find a guide waiting to give a 1:30 tour. We didn't do much research ahead of time, so had no idea there were so many different companies offering Freedom Trail tours. We seriously hit... More

We booked this tour based on other reviews and are glad we did! Learned interesting REAL history and not just the cursory tales. Kept our interest...the time flew by. Take a jacket unless it is summer... gets cool when you are in between the sky scrapers.

My friend Cj and I just HAD to see Boston the touristy way- with a tour guide! God blessed us with none other than an actual history professor, Mike Szkolka. Cj, me, and a Ukranian lady were the only three on the (usually packed) tour, and we couldn't be happier. We had time to get to know Mike (whose middle... More

Being a local from NH, I wished I hadn't waited so long to do a guided Freedom Trail tour! My girlfriend and I had an absolute blast. I was told by my friends this tour company is much more entertaining and higher-quality than some of the other companies offering tours. Our guide was a Redcoat named Micheal. I found him... More

Just finished a tour with the best tour guide we've had our whole trip. Bob, dressed as Paul Revere, has a dry sense of humor and a wealth of knowledge. The combination made for a tour that was more like a visit with an old friend. Ask him questions, including the best pub to get a lobster roll, and he... More

Michael Szkolka was our guide on the Boston Freedom Trail. He was fantastic! The tour starts at 148 Tremont Street. Michael is a very good guide. He knows a lot about Boston and its history. He tells the real story of the history. He is also a little bit ironic, but we liked that very much. We strongly advise to... More

This is the best Freedom Trail tour in Boston, hands down. We spent the afternoon w our guide, Michael Szkolka, walking, learning, thinking and being entertained. He asked challenging and though provoking questions that challenged my ideas and childhood beliefs about how the beginnings of the United States, our founding fathers and Boston's important role in American history. Come w... More

Thanks to Micheal for a great walk tour that was good humoured, interesting and enlightening. My husband and I really enjoyed the dry humour that Michael injected into a fascinating insight into AMerican history. He was very inclusive and this tour would be great for couples and families alike.
