If you compare this place with Washington or Disney World as an example you are going to be very, very, disapointed. Go during the mid day or morning when the scam artists and local thievs and drug dealers and prostitutets are not out yet!!!! The Massachusetts sstate police supposidly patrol this place but that is a joke. I'm serious everything... More

Terrible waste of time and money. I would neither recommend this zoo to anyone nor go there again myself. It was really boring and most of the animals are really far away or hiding. A lot of the exhibits were closed so not much to see or do. By far the worst zoo experience ever! More

We took our 4 kids to the zoo. We had coupons so for the amount we paid it was good. It would not of been if we had paid full price. It was still early in the season so all the animals were not out. The little kids enjoyed it. The inside animals were interesting and active but the smell... More

OK, so, is this zoo as good as say, Brookfield Zoo in Chicago, or the San Diego Zoo, or even the Phoenix Zoo - er, no - but, those zoos are not OUR zoo - we live in the Boston area, and the Franklin Park Zoo is OUR zoo, and so, we love it. My family and I have spent... More

We (me, husband, and 11yr. old) daytripped to the Franklin Park Zoo from New Hampshire. We found the zoo to be clean and spacious, but several of the exhibits were not open due to cool weather. Some of the exhibits are a little run down looking, but some of the newer ones were very nice. We spent about 3.5 hours... More

I don't really like the zoo concept but feel the animals are at least protected from predators and injury. I have been to zoos all over the United States and thought it was time I visited my local one. I went in late April so a lot of the exhibits weren't open. Very run down. The inside exhibit, tropical forest,... More

We went to the zoo on a Saturday afternoon with our 11 month old son. It was my first time to this zoo and we had a great time. Some of the animals were hard to see, but how close do you really want to get to a lion :) The area was well kept and clean, nicely paved walking... More

It was a nice zoo ... we walked through slowly .. about 2 1/2 hrs. Everything was clean. I wish we had a better view of some animals besides thru the cages. Parking is a little tough on a busy day - you park on the street or in a distant parking lot and walk on a path to the... More

I've gone to the Franklin Park Zoo for many years and thought it to be OK .I brought my grandchildren there yesterday and was very disappointed . I have one grandson in a wheelchair and there wasn't much he could see . most of the sign's are posted about eye level for wheelchair height and the fence posts block his... More

Since it was part of the Go Boston card we decided to go to the zoo when visiting Boston. The cab ride was almost $20 to get there as it is far outside of downtown. The area around the zoo is very bad so you wouldn't want to be walking too far outside the gates. The zoo itself is run... More
