My husband treated me to this wonderful tour for my birthday. Neither one of us really knew what to expect, but I am seriously into food, so we went. There were 12 people on the tour with us, plus Chris, our tour guide. Everyone was super friendly and ready to have a great day. We made a total of 8... More

We had never been to Asheville and did this tour our first day so that was a plus...gave us a feel for the city. I agree, we actually only went to 3 restaurants but the shops were interesting, 1 was a chocolate shop and another a bakery. Then a spice shop and a olive oil shop. Chris the tour guide... More

Chris our tour guide took us around Asheville. There really wasn't a lot of discussion as we walked, he only spoke to whomever was right beside him. I wished he would have told us about the city. We did enjoy some of the stops at restaurants, The olive oil shop was neat, but the spice shop was lame, Both of... More

The Food Tour was a blast. Chris was laid back, yet very informative. Highly recommend doing this at the beginning of your visit. Learned about the city, the food, the culture, and where to go back to during our stay! We had many locals on the tour who also loved it! Grab a group of friends and enjoy! More

Surprised this is called a FOOD tour! Of the 7 stops one offered nothing to taste, one offered olive oil and vinegar (no bread or anything to taste with), one offered a small brownie, one a few chocolate samples, one a smell of some teas and rubs etc. but, as I said before, no tastings! So, what I would consider... More

At the beginning of the tour, Chris, the tour guide, told us that there was "no rhyme or reason" to the order of places we would visit. That was an appropriate disclaimer since the tour felt disorganized. The tour website says that it will, "familiarize you with the twists and turns of...downtown." We were pretty confused by the time the... More

It was so fun to go on this tour and find some great restaurants, confectioners, and learn some history about downtown Asheville! Thank you Chris for the great tour!! We had fun and enjoyed going to all the different places and tasting their food and treats! We went back to several of the places to eat and get some great... More

My husband and I signed up for this tour and we were both pleased with the total experience. Each of the places we went to took pride in their craft and served quality food..Asheville is serious about fresh ingredients and the whole farm to table concept..all of the restaurants took time to speak to us and answer questions as well.... Excellent way to tour the city. Lots of informative stops and you can't beat the samples! We had a great time and got to learn alot about the different businesses that you otherwise might not find out. Great variety of stops. Would absolutely recommend. It's a good idea toward the start of your visit - gives you a good idea... More

Each of the stops on this Asheville Food tour offered an excellent sample of their food, and they were all delicious. Chris knew the owners or managers at each, and that offered in turn all of us the opportunity to hear a little more about each business. At each visit, we got to hear from them what their food philosophy... More
