I tagged along with my husband to Asheville in May 2013 for a conference. While he was working, I booked a trolley tour of Asheville on the Gray Line Trolley Tour. The trolley picks up at various hotels and points of interest in Asheville. They offer a 2 day tour with hop on hop off privileges for $21 for adults.... More

My wife and I took a ride on the Gray Line Trolley Tour in Asheville this past weekend. We thoroughly enjoyed the tour thanks to Mary, our driver. She certainly knows her stuff! We’ve toured with the Asheville Historic Trolley tour twice before, but the Gray Line offers more historical commentary and interesting facts. I learned more in 2 hours... More

We saw the red trolley at the tourist center and since it was a rainy morning, we decided it was the perfect way to spend our first morning in Asheville. Our driver was DENISE, who had moved to Asheville after Hurricane Katrina. She told us how she fell in love with the city and has made it her home. She... More

If you are a first time visitor or an Asheville native this inexpensive "hop on-hop off" tour is worth the time and money just for the historical narrative that accompanies the ride. Wy wife and I learned, laughed, looked and loved! Our guide, Mary, was absolutely hilarious, bless her heart! It was very obvious from her knowledge of the city... More

We had a wonderful trolley driver/guide, Denise. She had tons of awesome facts and trivia about Asheville's history. We've been to Asheville several times, but never have done this tour. I'm glad we decided to go this time to see and learn more about his town than we would have on our own. Loved being able to hop on and... More

Treat yourself to a overview of Asheville before settling in to visiting specific sites. Our driver/guide, Matt, deserves kudos for keeping everyone interested, and amused. Although it is an on-off tour we didn't want to lose him as our guide so we rode the whole route with him. The ticket is for 2 days so we'll take advantage of the... More

Initially I was a little skeptical about being on a trolly tour but I am delighted to say that I was pleasantly surprised at the fun I had. "Uncle Ted" our tour narrator made the tour so interesting and really made us feel right at home. He is a funny and animated character that gave us a lot of insight,... More

Every time I visit one of my best friends in Asheville she enjoys, as she says, "being a tourist at home." On my most recent of many trips she took me on a Red trolley, which ended up being a total delight! Our tour guide was "Uncle Ted," a very Southern, very feisty local musician. He provided highly interesting information... More

"Uncle Ted" White was our Tour Guide. I did not expect the tour to be so entertaining and humorous. I was pleasantly surpised by how quickly the time passed. I will definitely recommend "Uncle Ted" tour to family and friends when they visit Asheville.
