Castle Valley is part of this loop. The road is old and in need of repair. The view is spectacular. It was snowing the day we went which gave the autumn leaves a contrast in color. Well worth the trip.
During our four day stay in Moab, we drove this mountain loop. The colors of the foliage in early October was unbelievably beautiful. Orange, yellow, purple everywhere you looked. Take the time to drive this loop, especially in the fall.
This road is worth the time you'd spend on it. It's paved with a few tough spots, but the views are fantastic and the groves of aspen spectacular.
