This is a wonderful museum so plan on spending some time. If you see the Terra Cotta Warriors before that exhibit leaves, be sure to take one of the docent-led tours, as not only are they free but you have the opportunity to ask questions. There are so many interesting things here to see and photograph!

We loved the many beautiful pieces of art. Especially from India. The free guide tour was less interesting than we expected.

The collection of South East Asian art is good and comprehensive, although the museum's main collection focuses on China and Japan, with a great collection of netsuke. dont miss the terracota warriors exhibit! all the museum has a very good collection! its all so well picked that its amazing! Give it 3 hours at least.

My husband and I really enjoyed the museum. It was a great way to spend an afternoon in the city. Don't go to the special exhibits here. We went to see the terra cotta warriors: it was like a packed bar. As many people as they could get into that room, they squeezed in. It was loud, people constantly bumping into you and you had to jockey for position to read the small signs placed low on the wall/displays. There... More

This exhibit was beautiful, informative and manageable. I was so sorry I did not allow more time to explore the rest of this gorgeous museum--- will definitely be back to see more.

The Asian Art Museum is featuring the exhibit until May 27th. We have been unable to get in to see this exhibit at two other museums in the US. It lived up to our expectations which were high. A really nice museum with some very interesting displays. The Terracotta Warriors was a special display that we caught just before it left. You can spend many hours in this excellent museum.
