We have been visiting Bar Harbor for several years now and ImprovAcadia has become a definite destination for every visit! ImprovAcadia is set up in a very cozy and comfortable setting that lends itself to the shows interactive portion. They offer drinks and snacks before and during the show for their patrons enjoyment. Everone that we have ever met at... More

Have been meaning to review some of the things we did last summer in BAr Harbor. Would definitely highly recommend ImprovAcadia for family entertainment, especially families with teenagers. The cast gets everyone involved and are truly funny. I don't think my kids knew what to expect and were a little hesitant about a show. Every laughed so hard. it was... More

ImprovAcadia makes for a fun and hilarious evening in otherwise entertainment-strapped Bar Harbor, where it seems the only thing to do once the sun goes down (and hiking is no longer advised) is to eat, drink, or shop. ImprovAcadia is a nice change of pace from the mostly mindless storefronts of downtown, providing a more polished and professional show than... More

My 14-year old daughter and i enjoyed a super-fun, affordable evening at ImprovAcadia. A fun night of comedy is something we don't take time for when we're at home. It was a perfect, family-friendly evening. More

My wife and I visited Improv Acadia on their closing night of the season (Oct 15th). It was a great show. Really funny. It's amazing what they can come up with right on the spot. I wasn't sure what to expect since I figured Bar Harbor was a pretty small town, but the show was top notch. They have a... More

ImprovAcadia is a group of comedians that use audience suggestions to do their comedy bit. It was very, very, funny. It is not the type of comedy where they make fun of the audience, they just ask for suggestions from the audience and they incorporate it. Definitley worth adding to your stay in the Bar Harbor area. The only reason... More

my whole family really enjoyed the improv show. Didn't cost much more than a movie and found it much more entertaining. Similar format to "Whose line is it anyway" show and comedy was very funny without being dirty or offensive and it was appealing to an audience ranging from children, young, middle-aged and older adults. Alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks were... More

These guys were absolutely hysterical! Great for audience participation, they kept us rolling in the aisles for the whole show. Each time I've been, the traveling cast brings a whole new flaire! When you go, get there early to sit right up front so you don't miss a thing. More

Terrific night. Had kids aged 10, 12, 14, and 15. They ALL loved it! Humor was kept appropriate, audience participation, small cozy venue. It is not easy to find any activity with 4 kids that pleases everyone, but this was it!! Non stop laughing for everyone. Highly recommend making reservations. More

And that's not easy to do! Our kids - 12 and 8 - loved the 8pm family-friendly show, as did my husband and me. My 12 year-old son and I had seen a similar improv show in NYC in 2010 and this group definitely held its own compared to the New York show. It's a small venue, so call ahead... More
