The architecture and gardens have kept the feel of the early 1900's when it was build. It is a center for the visual and performing arts and is a place of beauty, peace and the celebration of the arts.

The Hui is a great place for tourist and locals alike. At Christmas they have a wonderful Christmas display with many items from the artists from the Hui. The grounds a wonderful to walk around as well and if you have made it this far might as well tour Makawao town.

A lovely estate home, now an Art Centre for the community. We really enjoyed the history of the house, and walking around the grounds.

Would recommend adding this arts center to your upcountry visit. Beautiful old house and intersting exhibits.

Exquisite location and wonderful art. Great place to buy unique gifts to bring back too:). Flowers and plants all around are breathtaking.

Beautiful old estate that has a wide range of working artists' studios, a gallery, and a great little gift shop. We enjoyed strolling the grounds, snapping photos of some beautiful plantings, and snooping in on some of the studios. This wonderful arts center caters to creative people working in all media. Offering everything from digital photography workshops to clay throwing, and a lot more!
