My good friend and I signed up for the Outrigger Canoe last week on 5/14/13. We were looking at the brochure at the location sight when we were approach by an employee. His first sentence was...."We've got a group out there looking at spinner dolphins as we speak." We were intrigued, we had done an outrigger canoe in Kauai last... More

Aloha, Mahalo for your feedback. We always strive to provide all of our guests with an awesome experience unique to the island of Maui, an experience unlike any other Outrigger Canoe excursions in the Islands or elsewhere. We are so pleased that our guides Mike and Jamie were enjoyable and informative. Maui's Honu, Green Sea Turtles, are usually very cooperative... More

We made plans to go out in a morning for my wife, daughter, and me--plus my mother-in-law. My wife was worried that her mother would have to wade out into the ocean to get on board, so made a lot of advance inquiries. Anyway, grandma got on board without incident, and the guides were wonderful to her--and all of us.... More

We've been to Hawaii 6 times and I've never been able to take an outrigger canoe ride until our last visit. What an experience. We did the 8 am ride and had sunny, calm weather. We went out a mile or two off the black rock with guides Jamie and Mike. They were very knowledgable and entertaining. We saw several... More

My wife and I were looking forward to an exciting adventure paddeling an outrigger canoe out to where we might get a close up view of whales. We chose a morning when the weather forecast predicted little chance of rain (3-13-13). We were scheduled for the 9:30 departure, but by that time the wind had begun to blow pretty hard,... More

We opted for the kayak whale watching and in indeed, we did see whales close up. Our guide was knowledgeable and friendly, but we felt like it was more than a work out than we had bargained for, and honestly that's our fault, not the owner's...

Yesterday I took the outrigger trip. We were really lucky and saw three whales up close and personal. Our guides Jeffrey and Savar were fun and gave us lots of information about Maui. I would recommend this trip to anyone visiting.

This was my fourth or fifth trip with the Maui Paddle Sport group. Each trip is different and exciting. No matter which of the crew you get they all give you an excellent ride. One thing you must remember when going out on the ocean is that every day is different. There are no guarantees of what you will see.... More

It was a windy morning so perhaps that is why we stayed close to the resorts. We paddled south from the Westin to just past black rock, not farther out than a snorkeler may swim. Then we landed the canoe and had some pineapple on the south side of the rock, before paddling back. A hotel guest could easily walk... More
