We rented a car but wouldn't have known that so many of the lovely beaches we found were used in the movies. Our guide was a native Hawaiian and the driver made it even more interesting. I am not a great Elvis fan but knew about the Coco Palms and had driven by it before the tour. I thought maybe...

There were 7 in our group alone us on this tour, and two other young men who must have wondered what they were in for when they saw us.
We were picked up at our hotel and taken to the office.
We are all Elvis fans, so the Coco Palms was a highlight for us. What a shame its taken...

We were pleasantly surprised to find the 4 x 4 tour took us to several places we had not "bothered" to visit on several trips to Kauai. The 4 x 4 tour covers the central coast around Kapa'a plus a trip up Wailua Canyon where the highlight is the location of the Jurassic Park "gates" scene.
We were picked up...

Our favorite pastime is going to the movies on weekend (although it costs 18$ for a ticket). I do not have negative opinion on this tour at all for we did not rent a car in Kauai. Before coming to Kauai, I watched my video "Blue Hawaii", "Hawaiian Paradise" and "Jurassic Park". It was good preparation for this tour. Although...

Hawaii Movie Tours was somewhat interesting, but a far cry from similar tours offered in other locales such as San Francisco. Hawaii Movie Tours is fairly expensive for what you get, and WAY too much of the tour is devoted the the abandoned and decrepit Coco Palms hotel....if you are a big Elvis fan, you might find this interesting, but...

This movie location tour was the highlight of my trip by far! It was SO INFORMATIVE and FUN! My husband and I both enjoyed it immensely! I read the bad reviews on this web site AFTER I had paid for my tour, so I was already committed to going, but I had a little bit of concern about following through...

If you are a big fan of movies and scenery, then the tour is a lot of fun. My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. The guide and the others on the tour had fun with the trip. The Coco Palms was definitely the highlight.
The other reviews that ranked this tour low are accurate about the content of the...

My wife and I just returned from Kauai and we agree with the previous reviewer. This tour is not worth the $125 per person. Most of the sites visited are easily accessable on your own. Also the tour shows movie clips from films older than dirt on VCR players inside the van and trys to show the locations where those...

We took the 4x4 tour hoping to see parts of the island that we wouldn't otherwise be able to see. The tour was fairly expensive ($125 per person) but we thought we'd give it a try. We spent 4 of the total 6 hours driving to attractions where we could have just taken our rental car like Wailua Falls, Opekaa...
