If you love old wagons, sleighs, etc. definitely come here. Those who are not fascinated with these conveyances will be disappointed. There was very, very little to see regarding the "old west" in this museum. Additionally, people who DO love wagons and other vehicles of the past would make this a MUST SEE destination if the name were changed to... More

They obviously keep the wagons in good condition for the rodeo that is in town each year, the museum give a good insight into the conditions people used to live in in the pioneer days. Currently refreshing some displays this was still an interesting tour

If you are interested in wheels and wagons, this is the place. They have a lot of different kinds of horse drawn wagons from throughout the years that tell a rich history story. Plenty of room, well laid too. For a $10 charge, it is on the edge of not being worth it if you aren't that into wagons. They... More

When I see a sign for an Old West Museum, I do not expect to see a few huge rooms full of old coaches and replica wagons. I expect to see old artifacts from the territory days. Pots and pans, old postcards or letters, old photographs, revolvers, desks, ANYTHING that actually pertains to the old west and Wyoming's earliest days.... More

What an amazing place - this was an awesome experience to see so much COWBOY history. The number of complete and restored wagons amazed us both. The fully detailed written notes were extremely helpful in allowing us to imagine what the period was like. We were also allowed to don a hat and sit in one of the actual buggies.... More

The $10 entrance fee was well worth it! The collection of coaches, wagons and other transportation vehicles from days of yore are amazing. From the Studebaker hauling wagon to the early forerunner to the family van (3 seated surrey), each specimen was unique and a wonderful view into the past. The art gallery offered a wide variety of artistic offerings... More

The museum is free for children, adults are $10 each. The museum itself was not worth the money, however the art gallery inside was interesting and we ended up buying some art. The gift shop was WAY overpriced- save yourself a lot of money and go to the Boot Barn to get some WY souvenirs...

With a name like "Old West Museum" I expected to see more than wagons, stage coaches, etc. Would have liked to see more artifacts of the Old West. At least I would have like more history of Frontier Days. The children room looks fun.

Granted I only live 40 minutes from Frontier Days it has been an annual event for our family for the last 20 years. From parades to rodeos to great food to terrific concerts. A cowboy celebration.
