Black Point is a very interesting place to visit. Be sure you are ready for a hike up the bluff. It is worth the effort.

We visited this mansion on June 3rd. The only way to visit is by boat. You can buy tickets at the Lake Geneva Cruise Line. There is a lot of parking on the road in front of the harbor, but you have to pay (1$/hour). The boat trip to the mansion and from the mansion takes each about 40 min... More

this is one of the few, if any, old mansions open to the public for tours. Be prepared for both climbing stairs and walking. At the time of my visit the only way to Black Point was by boat. The boat ride there and back was enjoyable and the house itself exceeded my expectations.

I've been to Black Point a couple times now, and I always learn something new! This beautiful mansion is a look back into the lifestyle of the original families who lived on Geneva Lake in the 1800s/early 1900s. Everything in the house was left there by the family - nothing has been added or staged! (We had a special behind... More

Black Point Estate is a hidden gem tucked back in the South shore of Lake Geneva. Over looking the lake, once inside you can appreciate the life style that goes into an undisturbed old estate. Beautiful antiques that show another side of history.

This unique historic site will bring you back to a really simple time. To think that such a historic treasure as this 1890s mansion was kept intact all of these years is incredible. And the best part is the 15 minute beautiful boat ride to get there.

We took the boat ride over to the Estates and when we got there were greeted by the people who took care of the home. We got a guided tour of the home, which has been kept just as it was. The house is beautiful.

I don't know if it was the area or not but this tour is the one I use as a yardstick for all of the others we've been on since. The area is beautiful and the history of the area is very interesting. I'm from Chicago so there is that connection also. It was very interesting seeing this old mansion... More

This is a very enjoyable thing to do on a nice sunny day. Enjoyed the boat ride to and from the estate. The tour of the estate was good. Would of liked to learn of more history.
