They also have scheduled walks during warbler migration. If you don't know what that is, then never mind. They have a few nice trails, nice displays with various birds & animals. This place has really come along over the years. Check out the educational exhibits. More

Beautiful trails and scenery...Lots of birds and animals to see...I love how they take in injured animals and provide them with a safe place to live and allow the public to visit for free...I would definitely go back again. The Resch waterfall is amazing. More

There are benches every few feet that invite a person to sit and enjoy nature and all its surroundings. There are information panels to read about the sanctuary and beautiful birds everywhere. Sparkling ponds and well kept grounds to walk around the ponds. Breathtaking! My only complaint - which can't be helped - is the geese poo everywhere. My goodness... More

The Sanctuary is an unexpected delight. Stuck rather out-of-town, it provides a unique experience to see local wildlife--such as river otters, bobcats, wolves, and coyotes "up close and personal." If you're bothered by seeing some animals in zoo-like environments, then this is not for you. But they allow you to see a variety of animals (particularly the otters) in a... More

It's similar to a zoo, but it's free. It has some cool animals and a nature building for the kids to play. Feeding the ducks and geese is the highlight though, and the duck food is decently priced (I think around a $1 or so). It's not the greatest place on earth, but defineately worth checking out...and you can't beat... More

This place is really cool. The fact that it is free is also a positive. Honestly I like it better than the NEW Zoo. The nature center is a great place for kids to get some hands on learning. The nature trails are beautiful. We go here at least once each summer. More

My kids loved it here. You can purchase corn for 1.00 a bag and feed the ducks. They have a few animals on display. Mainly owls, which is fine since my son loves owls. They have an indoor area with a few animals too. We went during feeding time & my kids were able to see a few animals up... More
