My wife and I love to camp at Governor Dodge. The two lakes and all the trails make for a great camping experience. Take time to see Stephens Falls and get off the main trails to find some of the caves on the property. Great place for horses as well. The backpacking campsites are nice because you hike in a... Neatly kept camping grounds make this place a family getaway. If you and your family love getting away for the weekend to a quiet place with natural swimming holes, this place is for you. Be sure to pack some marshmallows and enjoy a campfire.

I grew up in the area and can remember when the park was becoming a park. I was a kid and have fond memories of watching things develop. It's a wonderful park with things for everybody to do if you like the outdoors - swimming, hiking, fishing, biking, having a picnic, camping, horseback riding and the list goes on.

I can't believe it took me as long as it did to finally visit this park. It is absolutely wonderful and I just love taking my son to visit. I have many wonderful memories and photos of him playing in the lake and beach. Great family time!

This is a great park tucked in the hills and bluffs of western Wisconsin. The trails are great, there are two lakes, a small yet interesting waterfall. The bathrooms are ok, a bit dated. The sites themselves are good. The group camp bathrooms seem brand spanking new though! We went during the annual candle light hike and was a great... More

We went to check out the swimming beach. Nice beach the kids were happy. We didn't get a chance to walk the trails but there are many and have some neat things to see. Would be great for a weekend trip so you could see the whole park.

What a Great Park! We spent a long weekend in central Wisconsin just taking in some parks. We had a great time enjoying some the nature and scenery Wisconsin has to offer. Governor Dodge State Park will not disappoint. It has plenty to see and do just enjoying nature and being outside. We hiked some very scenic trails that included... More

It's a park. If you love nature, you have to love a park. There's a pretty water fountain, lots of trails and it's kept clean and secluded. There's a beach for swimming that is actually not too mossy - like most WI beaches!
