This is a wonderful small museum with good exhibits of the history and the area around Leavenworth. The museum itself is in a wonderful old home with lots of interesting features. Ann, the museum director was wonderful!

A beautiful setting above the river for fairly extensive and well-curated collection of local memorabilia. And a very pleasant and knowledgeable lady shared quite a lot of information to satisfy our curiosity about this interesting town. Fun video of re-enactment of a speech by the founder of the town. We intended about a half-hour and spent three times that here!

In historic home built with skills of European craftsmen - highlight for me was the stone-crafted double-sided fireplace - wonderful! Also a video of Leavenworth photos at Christmas timem, with lovely music was playing, and was very enchanting. Small room displays of artifacts and photos. Small gift and book shop. Lovely setting on a bluff over the river.
