Fun park with hiking trails, tide pools. Lots of starfish on the rocks, so kids can see them. Fun place to hang out when it's sunny.

This is one of my favorite camping spot. A lot of trails to hike nearby, access to a good beach and some of the campsite has a full service hook-ups. I did not give it a five star because of it's proximity to the railroad tracks, it is literally next to one.
Larrabee is one of my favorite spots in the Northwest. the hike through the forest and under the railroad trestle might be too strenuous for some, but when you are on the beach you will see why it is one of the locals' favorite spots. you can look across the san juan islands to the infinite expanse of water beyond...

This place is what you get south on the OR coast and north on Vancouver Island, without having to travel to either. I've been to B'ham several times without stopping here, and I'll never miss it again. Not only are there cheap, nice camping spots, but day visitors can park and take a short (really!) walk to the beach, where...

It is a kid friendly park. It's great for summer wading into tidal pools and walking on the trails. We have also camped there with our kids although we didn't like the loud sound of trains passing on the tracks next to the campsites.
This park has some really great walks, beaches and sights/views. It is a family favorite, we easily spend the whole day with a packed lunch just enjoying the outdoors
We took our youngest down to explore the tide pools and he had a blast. Careful for the seaweed though, its very slick. the scenery is just gorgeous!
It's a beautiful setting, make sure you've got good walking shoes on there's a steepish trail to the waterfront. if you go at low tide you can walk pretty far, but keep an eye out, you can get stuck if you aren't paying attention. There's a nice covered area for picnics and a stage.
great local place for families. walking distance to the beach with lots of sealife. plenty of places to go hiking. Nice spots to camp and good facilities.
The most beautiful beach in the area, in my opinion. Great tide pools to explore. Good walking trails. Excellent inspiration for artists.
