Had a wonderful morning wine tasting with Fernando and Irene at Montefioralle. I would highly recommend it! The wines were great- we tried their Chianti from 2004-2009, a riserva, and a classico. They served us a plate of bread with delicious olive oil, and proscuito. The weather was magnificent and our hosts were so gracious! I would go back in... More

We went on a wine tour and visited this vineyard...the location and view is worth the trip alone. Fernando was such a gracious host and shared his wonderful wine with us. You can also go to their website and order/ship wiine to your home. www.aziendamontefioralle.com More

The place was briefly described in our guide so we stopped by. well worth the visit to say the least. this is essentially an fortified hamlet where time stopped about 500 years ago. Obviously its looked after rather well! Very authentic medievil experience with little or almost no tourists (in October). It took us a while to find it as... More

This town is only a few Kms from Greve in Chianti. It is very small and you can go around in a few minutes. Once you walking on the narrow streets (no cars allowed), you feel walking on the old medieval times. The views of Chianti are amazing! Do not miss it! More

Cute small town with narrow streets and stone houses. Church is closed for visitors. One of the houses is said to have been connected to Vespucci family, it's marked with their family sign. Amerigo Vespucci is buried on a cemetery nearby. Walking distance from Greve. More

Just loved this little village. We passed it on our way to Podere Terre and eventually I walked in to visit. What a find....lovely central area with charming stone houses, some small shops and a couple of restaurants. Lovely displays of colourful plants and window boxes livened up the stone facades and the views from all around is of beautiful... More

The climb up to the village of Montefioralle is well and truly worth it the village is fabulous and the views picture postcard. The village was a walled city and just walking around taking in the history was most interesting. Would definately recommend it on you travels in the Chianti area. More
