We visited the temple in the second week on June. The route to Neelkanth temple is awesome with lot of greenery and number of waterfalls on the way. However, once you reach there, you can see lot of mismanagement. We reached there around 11 am and just before we could enter, the doors to the temple were closed without citing... More

It is a long journey from Rishikesh(over 70 kms). It also involves a good deal of walk from the car parking lot. The approach to the temple is cumbersome. Temple entrance is poorly organized. Actually unless one is aware of it, the deity could be missed as there is no temple type entrance etc.

A very well organized and very devotional Ganga Aarti - definitely worth visiting on a trip to Rishikesh!

it is a good place to visit if you are on a religious trip but you can give it a miss if you are a general traveler. there are two ways for going there, one is through the road and the other one is a trekkers route. the trek route will take 4-5 hours to reach the temple and is... More

Even if you are not religious you must plan a visit. The journey to the temple is a wonderful experience. Condition of the road is manageable. There is breathtaking scenic beauty while you round the hill and up to the Temple

yes the reviews about the drive to temple are very correct, the road beside river ganga and then into the silent peaceful valley may ask you to come out of your vehicle and the fresh air may breath out the best in you. The temple is good enough to watch at least once, the shivling is in the roots of... More

The drive to this temple is mesmerizing. The trees, the air, the sound of river and streams flowing, the mountains, birds, the sky, it all seems so heavenly. A wonderful temple for the believers of Lord Shiva. You need to trek a bit to reah this temple so sturdy shoes are required.

Neelkanth is famous for Lord Shiva's Temple. It's located 25-30 kms after Rishikesh. One who believes in Lord Shiva, must visit this place.
