... by the Attorney General of Virginia, according to the Washington Post: http://www.washingtonpost.com/blogs/reliable-source/post/tareq-salahi-sued-by-virginia-ag-over-winery-tour-business/2012/04/23/gIQAZ2rtcT_blog.html According to the article, the suit alleges that the company "canceled on clients at the last minute, failed to take them to all their promised stops, and did not provide refunds." Very glad I checked here first before booking! Still looking for a reputable company for my... More

Virginia Wine tours took two weeks to email me back. They sent me a contract and no contact information for me to speak with someone. They wanted full nonrefundable payment. I luckily saw this site and decided not to go with this company. We tried Point to Point Limo Wine Tours instead for our Bachelorette Wine Tour Party. I was... More

Luckily I came to Trip Adisor before sending this company any money. I feel so fortunate to have followed my instincts. I emailed the company several times to receive more information before booking a Bachelorette Party wine tasting for my Sister. I laid out in bullet points a list of my questions to make it easy for them to be... More

When travelling with a group of girlfriends for a bachelorette weekend, we paid in advance for this company to make all of our accommodations. Our driver did not know where to take us, as he had not been given any information by the company, none of the wineries were expecting us, and we had to pay for all our tastings... More

We book a wine tour for my fiance's graduation in May 2011. They required a full deposit a few weeks before the tour. I wrote them a check for $1230 for a mini coach bus and the tours. Two days before the tour they called to say the bus was having mechanical problems and they might have to cancel. The... More

I booked with VA Wine Tour 3 months in advance for my sister's bachelorette party this past weekend. I had arranged for a limo to pick up 6 of us at 11 am at our hotel in Charlottesville. No one showed up or picked up the phone. I decided to send an email to the girl I had been corresponding... More

Wineries did not have any information or reservations for our group upon arrival. Negotiated and paid driver for extra time and also charged by virginia wine tours. Unprofessional treats from company, which expected payment for extra ours within one business day, when group already paid driver.

I had contracted with Virginia Wine Country tours in the summer of 2010 for a Wine Tour in October. The contract was signed and my payment of $824 was made. When I started working with them they were very nice. They would return phone calls and answer my questions. Three days before our trip I called three times with no... More

The owners of this company, Michaele and Tareq Salahi, will scam you if you try to arrange a tour. Note that the good review above written by sunnylady138 was written by the owners, even though in order to review an establishment you must certify you have no financial interest in it. So the Salahis are caught lying again.

I do not recommend Virginia Wine Tours. I coordinated with them for a 8+ hour tour…pick-up a 2pm, visit 3 wineries, dinner @ 8pm and then, drop-off. VA Wine Country Tours never contacted the 3 wineries to let them know our group of 14 would be visiting. We arrived at the 3rd winery at 6:20…they closed at 6pm. I had... More
