Did the self-guided tour in the rain, don't skip the rail car - it is amazing history and one-of-a-kind!

10 friends visited Manchester, VT. for the weekend and this was one of our stops. A must see if you are in the area. This museum is well worth a visit. Hildene was the home of Abraham Lincoln's son, Robert. We paid the extra $3.00 for the guided tour and it was well worth it. So much information presented expertly... More

The friend I was travelling with wanted to stop by and see "Hildene". The visitor center had a nice, introductory film. The cool weather and rain was a good day to be inside and tour the home. The house was full of artifacts, history of the family and a room devoted to Abraham Lincoln. We also went outside to the... More

We visited Hildene week before last. We absolutely loved it. The setting is beautiful. I'd seen Hildene in a AAA spiral bound travel guide as a "don't miss." We have a wonderful day and I am so glad we didn't miss it. It's wonderful. Don't miss it.

The combination of the history, the house, gardens, Pullman car and farm make this a must see. Pay the extra for the guided tour at 11am and 1pm.

The home of Abraham Lincoln's son, Robert, has been restored with original furnishings. The building and grounds are well-kept, and knowledgeable docents are eager to answer questions. Their love of the place is evident. This museum is well worth a visit. Don't miss the restored Pullman Car that sits on a siding in the woods.

Beautiful spot, well-maintained and full of little-known history. the guide in the main hall was helpful and the self-guided tour made it easy to set our own pace. Don't miss the gardens and planetarium or the Pullman car.

A must see in Manchester - Home of Robert Todd Lincoln has great history in every room. The grounds in the back are fabulous. There is also a train car to see which has a connection to RTL.

The only son of Abraham Lincoln to reach adulthood lived here. It was like a trip to the best museum you've ever visited, but more. Tours of the home of Robert Lincoln are given by people who are very knowledgeable about the life of Robert, his family, and his father (our 16th president). It is well worth the time and... More
