A great park to take your little ones to the beach. It is close to town and no huge waves to knock your little ones around. Very clean and lots of bathrooms and showers and picnic pavilions.

Did not go in the water because I saw jellyfish on the beach but it was nice just walking along it and then going out on the jetty. There was a wind festival and there were lots of kites.

Love this beach, especially for little kids. There really aren't waves and you can walk out into the water a pretty good distance before it gets deep. My kids love to walk in the shallow water and look for hermit crabs (which we let go again) and other animals. They keep the beach and bathrooms clean. If you have older... More

We are relocating to Rockport and finally bought the beach pass. It is nice! Clean and covered picnic areas if you get there early. What a good surprise!

The water is very calm, warm and the beach is very shallow (we walked and walked and walked into the water and the level remained knee-high), so it is a nice option for families with little kids. However, there are jellyfish. And one of our daughters got stung. We had to leave in a frenzy to go buy vinegar to... More

This is a wonderful beach. It is kept up and clean. I have been here many times over the years. If you are a birder, you will enjoy it here. They have roped off nesting areas just for the birds. There are several places to swim without worry about sharks. I feel very safe going here by myself. There are... More

VERY clean beach, inexpensive for families ($5 for a day or $15 for a season pass). The water is very shallow for a ways out so no big waves to knock little ones over. There were jelly fish at our visit, but not the kind that sting. We actually had fun holding them. Great bathroom and changing rooms. Showers to... More

I live here in town and go to Rockport Beach several times a week. It has numerous playground set ups if you have kids. Covered picnic tables, BBQ stands, showers and public restrooms. Great snow cone trailer is often there on the nice days. Beach is shallow on the south side which is perfect for the younger kids. Salt Water... More
