This is such a lovely traditional Spanish square where you can spend many an hour, you can even try to speak a little Spanish with one or two locals! It is popular with the Brits and can get very busy at lunch time. There are a choice if bars, but try the Spanish ones first, you are in Spain after... More

I'm sure that there must be lots of Plazas de Espana around. However I can vouch for this one. Nice to visit and in the warm weather nice to linger in. Lots of fine eateries about as well so all in all well worth a visit.

El Turreon captured us in the heavy rain! We raced into cover and ate and drank - good food and wine at very reasonable prices, certainly we will be back to this restaurant, and this plaza, in times of better weather. It offers a good choice of bars and cafes in an athmospheric setting.

Beatiful and romantic square with nic restaurants around! The fountain can be refreshing and you can just sit there and watch the people living here.

With the famous niña fountain (little girl) holding the conch shell and is the symbol of Benalmadena. A good choice of restaurants beneath the beautiful orange trees. During the summey you can enjoy the beautiful sounds of the harpist who plays here.

A nice place to sit a relax away from the main tourist area, however still close to train station. Only down side if it rains limited shelter the bars are all competing for the same tourists and ex pats. Prices cheaper than the beach area and promenade, has a typical Spanish feel even if majority visiting are from the UK.

A busy little square known to the english as "fountain square" obviously because of the central fountain. Several bars open in this square but it can be a little squashed as everyone likes this sun trap. Bar prices are very reasonable and lots of variety and choice. The terrace bar offers full meals, while some others only offer snacks. Just... More
