My wife and I went on a tour of the King Ranch, 825 Thousand acres! Our tour guide showed us the highlights of a real working cattle and quarter horse ranch. We saw Santa Gertrudis cattle on the range with the mesquite trees and all kinds of indigenous animals and birds. This might be boring for small children, but everyone... More

We enjoyed the tour very much. It was extremely informative. The guide, Miguel, made the trip interesting.. Thank you. The two ladies from Scotland.

The ranch is environmentally aware and is a great place for bird watching, the ranch guides are excellent and have a good working knowledge of what to find and where. The ranch also supports a variety of indigenous and exotic animals.

We took the 1.5 hour ranch tour. We did not do the King Ranch museum. The tour is stale and essentially a drive around the ranch. The most interesting part was the visit with "Lolo" but the tour guide rushed us through this part and didn't leave time for questions. We had our 15 year old with us and he... More

The King Ranch is an interesting place as the pre-tour video attests. However, you wouldn't know this from the tour. You get driven around the ranch while the down home driver/tour leader speaks of the history of the ranch and tries to amuse with his hokey humour. You do not get to walk around the places you visit. To charge... More

We enjoyed our 1 1/2 hour tour via air conditioned bus of the historical King Ranch. The driver/tour guide was very knowledgable and shared several anecdotes along the way. We learned of the Ranch's beginnings and interests in cattle and horse breeding. The gift shop was well stocked with the typical curios, books, t-shirts, and novelty items. What I did... More

Poorly managed, should have some kind of reservation system.....hundreds there this morning, one small tour bus......dozens went back to their homes......one service staff.....It was a waste of gas, time, energy.....and so frustrating to not see a bit of Texas history!

The event I'm talking about is The Ranch Hand Breakfast. It's a once a year event that takes place at the King Ranch. We go every year. It takes place in the morning only. Old fashion breakfast outside on wooden tables. There's live music-calf roping-cowboy coffee and pan del campo being made from scratch. People from all over come to... More

As I love seeing newborn calves & foals, I was not disappointed. There is a nice museum with free video presentation of how the King Ranch came to fruition. Van tour with knowledge guide who takes you into the Ranch. Saw lots of newborn calves & 1 foal. Very interesting information of how ranching is managed these days.

What a Great experience ! Booked a trip for my Granddaughter to KingRanch as I'd purchased her a competition horse that was born on the ranch . We had a private tour , which i would recommend , as you can stop & get out & take pictures all you want. It was very educational & most interesting for both... More
