Took a tour this afternoon and had a very nice time. Learned so much about bourbon and tasted my first ever white dog. A nice change from the winery tastings. Highly recommend this tour.

My wife and I showed up Saturday afternoon not knowing reservations were needed and we were able to take the tour with the next group. The tour was very interesting, explaining and showing the process of making Bourbon and the history of Bourbon. Enjoyed our time on the tour and it is definitely a tour to do again. Also, Garrison... After making reservations online, my husband and I drove to Hye, Texas (off 290 between Johnson City and Fredericksburg) for a fun tour of Texas' very own Bourbon Distillery. Dan Garrison greeted us and said to make ourselves at home around the open fire pit. All the makings for smores were available, as well as refreshments. 18 tourists loaded into... More

Amongst all the wineries in this region, is the engaging Garrisons Brothers Distillery. First, you need to realize unlike the wineries, you cannot purchase a bottle of Garrison Brothers at the distillery. Blame it on archaic and frankly pretty stupid liquor laws in Texas. Regardless, this place is worth a stop. Upon arrival you will find a little lodge with... More

I have visited many wineries and breweries and done countless tastings at both. This was my first distillery tour and tasting, and while I didn't come as a huge bourbon fan, I certainly left as a fan of Garrison Brothers. My husband, who is a big fan of bourbon and whiskey, and I arrived for the 10am tour on Saturday... More

I'm a big fan of bourbon and approached this with some trepidation. FANTASTIC!! A small group of staff make a big impression on visitors. Very friendly and they know their stuff!! Great bourbon and the feel of getting in on the ground floor of an amazing adventure!

Garrison Brothers know how to distill the perfect bourban and they have the set-up and staff to do it with the spirit only found in Texas! The welcome area is so inviting with the cold beverage and rocking chairs one almost wants to stay put there all afternoon, but after boarding the hayless hay ride to the distillery and going... We toured Garrison Brothers in the summer of 2012 and absolutely loved it! The staff members are passionate and the Whiskey is top notch. My husband has told all his buddies about our wonderful experience there, and we hope to go back soon!

A great change from the routine. The staff and facility are amazing, as is the quality of the bourbon. It is more than a tour, it is a learning experience even if you aren't a bourbon drinker. It's THE place to visit when taking a drive between Fredericksburg and Johnson City.
