Just a wonderful experience... though some idiots in the audience have never been to a symphony before... it is not a soccer game! Turn off you damn phone! Next time, I will just get up and complain, and get a different seat... who were these Idiots? They tried to talk all through Bach! They were also rude to those who...

The four of us loved the Houston Symphony's Sunday afternoon Christmas concert rendition of Handel's Messiah in Jones Hall. The many musicians and vocalists all performed brilliantly and memorably. Although we were seated far from the orchestra and the choral ensemble, virtually every note and phrasing rang out crisply and clearly. The printed concert guide enhanced our experiences. Waiting in...

Houston is lucky. The place is never filled to capacity on Sundays, when I have my season ticket. This is OK by me, but I can't figure out why such an asset is wasted. They also let bums in at intermission. Some are sick in the head. This I don't like. But the orchestra has been outstanding. I hope it...

We came here when a friend gave me 2 tickets to a show. We had such a nice time. The food and drink service during intermission was great. The line wasn't too long. They had plenty of seating for you in the lobby area. There was little congestion and it was a great experience for me.
Group sounded fantastic. Jones hall is a little dead acoustically, but the musicians were fabulous. Heard Mahler's 1st Symphony and the Mendelssohn octet.
We saw the concert, Houston Symphony Celebrates Louis Armstrong. Trumpet player and singer, Byron Stripling, was awesome as he played and sang a number of Armstrong pieces. The Houston Symphony was incredible as well. It was a great evening for my wife and me.
Every time we go to the Symphony, you will always be amazed by the Musical selections. The acoustics fit the music delivered from classical to pop and so on. The volunteers at this venue are always top notch and willing to help with any special considerations for mobility you may have.
Our children play piano and violin so the experience of hearing a full symphony was quite the experience compared to an orchestra.
The performance was stellar and their cooperation with school in allowing student rates and school to participate in education speaks to the art community in Houston.
The facilities at Jones Hall is old but they are cozy. The...
