This park is gorgeous. It has a train with multiple stops, a playground, splash pad, lots of little ponds, scenic trails, bike rentals, paddle boat rentals, a large reflection pool, and lovely Japanese Gardens. There are lots of restrooms, and they are very clean. Free parking, but it's a pain. It's always so crowded, and with it being in the... More

Well maintained, clean park that has water features, a little train for the kids, statuary, but short on parking during summer months. Love to go there!

A free, nice park to spend time in. Don't miss the Japanese Garden. Parking is very difficult on weekends even with plenty of parking space - just too many people !

The park is amazing. It offers a combination of sun and shade walkways. Sitting areas can be secluded or exposed. You can also choose a seat overlooking water and the fountain. For activities there are catamarans, a playground with a little waterpark, and a Japanese garden to walk through and make photos. Don't forget Miller's Theater and the Zoo.

Sunny, 80 degree day, no humidity, this was a paradise. We originally came for the Zoo, but could not find a parking space. So we just walked in the park around the lake and spend an hour watching the wild life. Not only there are ducks, geese, fish and turtles, there were nutrias swimming and begging for food.

I especially like the Hermann Park Zoo which has animals in a natural, jungle-like setting. One favorite exhibit is the tropical birds, which apparently have their wings clipped so that they will not fly away and nest in a semi-tropical place like Houston. I also like the Miller Outdoor Theatre that has free operas in the summer. Another favorite place... More

This park has a little bit of everything for everyone to enjoy a leisurely day. I can't imagine being here in the peak of the summer heat but it's perfect during the spring months. First of all, it has something that is very rare in the Houston area . . . FREE parking! From there, there is so much to... More

I think this park is great. Trails for jogging, museums, outdoor musical venue, zoo. Just about everything someone could want. It is fairly large and spread out, but so is Houston. I wish there were more places to eat in the area, but bringing a picnic is fun.

It's just like I remember it from the 1960's. That can be good and bad. I love the train still goes through the park but I think more picnic areas could be set up.

Located in the museum district, and if the weather is nice, a nice place to take a break between museums.
