Great look at planes and lots of them, you can not get super close or inside any planes. Very hot in the summer, go early!

My husband loves old war planes, we were impressed that most of these are actually in flight worthy condition still. They were cleaning them while we were there. Lots of nice things in the gift shop. We bought too many,

Get there on a Saturday and get out on the flight line to see several aircraft take off and land. Call earlier in the week and see if they have room on the aircraft. Awesome ride. Buy admission with the Island pass!!!!

Decent collection of aircraft in excellent condition. Oil pans testify to the operational condition of several WW2 war birds. The entire facility is immaculately clean. Admission was inexpensive at $6, and discounts are available (AAA). Large gift shop with a wide selection of toys, models and books.

One of the best museum values youll find in the city, with admission being $5 or so (this may have changed since then). The collection is a bit down since a large portion of the facility was flooded during hurricane Ike, but theres still a large collection of vintage WWIII planes both military and commercial.

Although not extremely large, it is well worth a couple of hours. Some of the planes are available for a charter flight.

Went with a school field trip and the kids loved it. They were able to touch all the planes and our tour guide had lots of stories to tell. He pointed out details about how the planes were affected by Hurricane Ike that we wouldn't have known or thought to ask about it. Lots of choices in the gift shop... More

I’ve been to Galveston numerous times, but this was my first trip to the Lone Star Flight Museum. For me it was well worth the price of admission. No, it is not the Smithsonian’s Air and Space Museum. But it is an excellent air museum. It has many planes, primarily focused on the WWII era. While I was there there... More

The variety of aircraft and the multiple modes of transportation available for viewing are very impressive. This is a great attraction in the Galveston area.

My son and husband enjoyed this. They have done a lot of work since Hurricane Ike. They have some great planes and tidbits of history. Unfortunately, there was no one that seemed eager to answer questions.
