This is a great family spot in the heart of Dallas! You'll see lots of families, bicycle enthusiasts, joggers and barbecue kings/queens... Love to visit in the Spring.. Watching the fish spawning and jumping around is always nice...It's also right next to the Incredible Dallas Arboretum!

What a pretty setting. You can almost forget you are getting exercise walking all the way around the lake! A little hard to find parking, but worth the effort.

For the most part this is a really great park area. I like they have a little dog run/playground near it too now. Its mainly calm and not noisy at all. The area around it is nice too. Most people I see there are running/walking/jogging.

It is a beautiful lake and adds a lot to the environs, but the accumulated debris piled up along the shoreline was really horrible!

I remember as a kid swimming at the White Rock Lake Bath House. It's not Central Park, but it is still a nice place (though no swimming allowed any more). It is a nice lake to see, but you can't drive around it anymore. Nice for small sail boats. The nicest venue on the lake is The Arboretum, which is... More

Got to go for Ron Paul picnic and campaign. Grills available and was far to walk to bathrooms, never did find dog park area. Cannot swim in lake because of "water Moccasins" a 3 minute bite can kill you from this poisonous snake, still a city good location and old neighborhood area. I prefer Beverly Drive in Highland Park in... More

While touring this park I saw a lot of people exercising and riding bikes. People were out having picnics and just enjoying the beautiful park! There was also a live band there playing the blues when I went! This park was clean and very soothing! It was wonderful and relaxing I would recommend this attraction any day!

We went to kayak, but it was windy so we walked around the lake. The arboritum is world class and just last year featured outside art of imense coolness. The homes surrounding the lake can really be old and classy or new and gauche. Yea Dallas!
