There is always something to do, everyday for everyone. Don't like live music, then go look at the stars. Got kids, sign up for one of the learning hikes. Wanna be still and watch the nature, open your back door and find a rocking chair to sit in and be quiet. I can not say enough about this place with... More

The Butterfly Trail was beautiful this time of the year. The wildflowers were abundant and just gorgeous. It's not a very long trail, so is easy to walk. The flowers & cactus and all the greenery were just beautiful. Great for taking pictures. More

Had a wonderful long weekend hiking the nature trails. Lots of birds to see and listen to. Lake Buchannan is very low (right now) and it would be difficult to do much water activities. Got lucky with the weather. Unless you are close by, it is probably best to stay at the lodge on the property because I didn't see... More

spent a Sunday afternoon visiting this resort overlooking lake Buchanan.Enjoyed a delicious lunch followed by spectacular desserts large enough to feed the table. Lake Buchanan is low so water activities are limited. Hiking the 14 miles of designated natural trails for all ages is an adventure ! Staff very friendly and knowledgeable. More

We decided to tent camp at Canyon of the Eagles for Memorial Day weekend. We had site #2 in the Chimney Slough area. Didn't realize it was right next to the entrance road. So, we had road noise in evening and early morning (workers coming in to work.) There were only 2 portable toilets available. And they had not been... More

We held my daughter's wedding at Canyon of the Eagles in August and it absolutely exceeded all of our expectations. The professionalism and service we recieved from the resort, especially the catering service, was first class. Thank you for making this special day one we will remember with happiness forever!! We did not stay in a "lodge" or "cottage" but instead stayed in a tent site. Thus this review does not reflect upon the hotel, amenities or service. We brought all of our own food, and thus did not experience the restaurant. Our sole purpose for going to Canyon of the Eagles was to camp out, swim in Lake Buchanan,... More

This is the park for you - if you don’t have to travel far and are pleased with going to a lake and not being able to swim in or boat on it in the heat of summer. Restroom facilities: Portable potty (2) plus another down the road - not meant for permanent use. They did have toilet paper, not... More

I find the food there to be amazing, I am a local to the area and living on the lake there are very few places to eat. The great thing about it is you can go in there on a weeknight in jeans and a t-shirt and have a fantastic meal or go on the weekend for a real fine... More

The lodge has been under new management for the past few years. Still the same beauty the hill county is known for but now your experience can be enhanced by a trip to Canyon of the Eagles. Over the last year they have really focused on their food service and have just recently added a deck to watch the sunset.... More
