GREAT TIMES!!! Live music all the time in a place teh size of a shoebox.....great service, friendly folks and youre basically on teh stage with the band....always great energy!!
Don't go in with expectations...you'll come out loving the experience! And hey you never know who will end up on stage! Derick Hough from Dancing with the Stars showed up... Belted out a few tunes..even took photo with me! Not pretentious ..so much fun!!!
The first few times I went to Tootsies we were frustrated because of all the people. The downstairs get SOOOO packed with the band that you can barely move. This past time we went for a birthday party and we found out there's three full floors. Each floor had it's own bank and the top floor was a huge PATIO... More
Headed downtown for the night. Tootsies was our best stop. Loved the band and the atmosphere. Ended up right in front of the stage with the band, even got pulled up to dance with the lead singer.
You must go to visit history,,,,but if its a weekend you wont even be able to get to the bar for a drink. Was there during the 53rd birthday party and it was ALL ABOUT tootsies this week. Very disappointed that they basically lied about kid rock being there for the concert - we waited 7 hrs in the rain... More
Of all the bars we visited on this particular night, we had the most fun at Tootsies. Great band upstairs. Didn't spend anytime downstairs, it was a bit to crowded for us. Also, had great service.
What a fun place! We went for lunch, stayed for 5 hours, drinking and listening to music. The bar was full to overflowing, but everyone was friendly and fun. It's not smoky, bathrooms are clean and new, drinks are reasonable, music was great. Food was ok for a "dive bar", not great, but the atmosphere made up dor it.
Love Tootsies! Yes, it's wall-to-wall people but that's what makes it fun. Great entertainment & excellent bartenders! Make sure to go here!
If you're in Nashville, you must make a stop at Tootsies, but it's certainly not my favorite place on Broadway. The entertainment is fun, but it's crowded, dark and not as inviting as some of the other places. It's still somewhere you must hit, but still trying to figure out why it's all the rage.
My husband and I were in Tootsies the night of the CMA's last weekend. What a riot. This is a famous small Honkey Tonk, with a great sound system and everyone visiting and working there has a smile on their faces. $5.00 for bottled beer, busy, crowded, but the waitress behind the bar was on top of it! Always live... More
