Couldn't get to the Gorge because the access was closed. NTS website said bridge was closed for repairs 'til April 2012, but was still closed on 6th May. From the roadside, it looked like it had potential. There is a charge for parking. Not sure why this is down as a Strathpeffer attraction as it's much closer to Ullapool. More

If passing, stop and take some time to walk to the gorge ( it's VERY close to road . MAke sure you have a good head for heights though as the gorge is VERY deep! Best of all it is FREE! More

Absolutly breathtaking, scary going over the little suspension bridge. Like something out of an Indania Jones film! The viewpoint that lets you walk a few feet out over the gorge is impressive too. The walk is not too long and the path is newly laid and easy to navigate. There are parts I would have prefered t have had a... More

Pity about the changed access - but understandable given main road. Very dramatic and picturesque especially if you're lucky enough to be there in the sunshine AND rain and catch a rainbow and a bit of romance if you get the place all to yourself! More

I've visited this waterfall and gorge many times over the years but this was the first time I have seen it running so full and fast. If you are passing, don't go by without stopping and it's also well worth a special trip. It is stunning even in drier weather The entrance and access have moved since I last visited,... More

From the parking lot (where you can donate 1 pound to the NTS), there are 2 pathways that lead down to the gorge- both are pretty easy. I walked down to the suspension bridge, and while it was a little scary as it sways when you walk on it, it looked much safer than the viewing platform down the gorge... More

For a small donation to the national trust, you can walk along the edge of the gorge, where you will find several viewpoints into the gorge and of the waterfall. You can choose to walk directly to the suspension bridge to see the waterfall or to talk a short gentle walk that leads you back to the bridge too. I... More
