I remember swimming below the bridges years ago when we were kids although only in shallows. I always meant to get the train over and back but somehow never got round to it. Maybe this year. Must remember to throw a coin out the window for luck. Nowadays I prefer just to sit and relax and take in the view,... More

whats not to like it is impressive from a distance, as well as up close. The history behind the building of the bridge is both a great feat of engineering and sad. More

You have to stand underneath this to fully appreciate it. Although the butt of painting jokes it always inspires. A visit to the local hotel will reveal photos of it's construction which was some challenge by the look of it. More

I come here all the time, as my dog likes to swim by the sea. The chippy is very nice here too, nice to get a bag of chips and sit and watch the water. Also a good walk over the forth road bridge, and nice restaurant at the other side, nice to have a drink in. Two Bridges restaurant... More

The Forth Bridge is a spectacular sight...great views from the promenade at South Queensferry. There are boat trips which sail under the bridge leaving you to marvel at how it was constructed. But it is even better in the late evening when it "glows" with light...come with your camera I can promise you wont regret it! More

Walked across the bridge on a sunny summer's day, then took a trip down to the South Queensferry village. Surprising amount of stuff to do, and to top off the day got a chippy from the Town House chip shop...try it, you will not be disappointed! More

What a feat of engineering and it has to be marvelled at. Although I live with 10 miles of the bridge, I still marvel at the work in building it. I also remember all the men who list their lives during the work. More
