Went to the performance of On the Razzle at the Clarence Brown. We ordered our tickets on line so, no waiting, just showed our e-ticket at the door and walked right in. Great seats on the fourth row. Very good performance, very fast-paced, had to really pay attention to catch all the puns. At times the volume was a little... More

My husband and I regularly travel to the theater for performances and really enjoy every one of them. The spring production of On the Razzle was exceptional. Lots of laughs and split second repartee. Clarence Brown provides stimulating conversations for this long married couple! I recommend you check out any performance. There's never a bad one! And yes, the Sunday... More

CBT on the University of Tennessee Knoxville campus is as close to Broadway as you can get without the high prices and parking problems of the "big" city". On the Razzle, the current show is like the Marks Brothers meet the Three Stooges with a touch of Monty Python thrown in. If you like your comedy broad and fast with... More

Excellent production! Very complicated play due to a very precise need for good timing. Lots of puns and physical comedy. Fast-paced and very light-hearted. Cast was great, especially David Alley. Fun time at the theatre!

My husband and I attended the opening of "A Raisin in the Sun" at the Clarence Brown Theatre in February 2013. We really enjoyed the show.... but even more we enjoyed all of the people from Knoxville that sat around us. We did some serious people watching! I guess opening night is when all the locals --- especially the board... More

Have seen many plays at Clarence Brown and have not yet seen a production that was not first class. Their location on the University of Tennessee campus makes the theater accessible and parking is available. I have found ticket prices to be reasonable and easily purchased without actually taking a trip to the box office. Current performance is called "Red".

Everything I have seen has been wonderful! I sometimes forget about it being in Knoxville, but when we go, I remind my husband that we should go more often. The actors are really top notch and the stage settings are incredible.

I've gone to quite a few shows and have never been disappointed. The actors are great, the productions are wonderful, the seats are quite good no matter where you sit. Very professional. Very entertaining. I love it.

Spectacular performances in an intimate venue. Reasonable admission fees. Catch A Christmas Carol in December.
