As a Grand Strand resident I readily paid the entrance fee on occasion to have access to restrooms, food and drink, and the option of hiking on some nice trails. A winter weekend camping trip to Myrtle Beach State Park was a great quick trip. The beach is breathtaking, the park is economical and very well maintained. Horses and riders on the beach add another diminsion to the beauty. Only down-side is the sound of jets approaching and departing from the nearby airport. Highly recommend this SC weekend getaway! More

The State Park has so many things that you can enjoy such as Swimming in a well maintained beach in the summer, to hiking the two nature rails through the pine and hardwood forest. It was a wet and windy day when we visited the State park (Hurricane Irene was approaching) so we weren't able to fully enjoy the facilities on hand. We could see however that in good weather it would be a wonderful place to visit for a picnic, for fishing, or for nature walks. The main thing that struck me however... More

Just returned from a week visit to MB state park. Stayed at site 170, which I would recommend as it is near the new bathrooms and a great camp store. Clean and quiet, beach was nice and Family Dollar store and Food Lion was almost at the entrance to the park. Great staff, would return. More
