We had a family gathering, and stayed in cabins 11, 13, & 15. The park and lake were beautiful. The villas were a step up from the usual state park log cabins, having updated flooring, furnishings, and kitchens. They are clean and roomy, with nice size living and dining areas and porch. The shower had great water pressure and got... More

The website was a little misleading. Waterfalls, rock formations, etc all sound like exciting things I want to see, but they are only accessible by boat. The lady at the park office wasn't helpful when we were trying to decide on trail to hike, which only amplified our disappointment in the fact that we weren't going to be see any... More

I was surprised at how empty this park was (we came on a Saturday, January 5). I think we saw one other car when we were leaving, but up to then we had the place to ourselves. We parked near the playground and headed out on the Bear Cove trail which was an easy enough walk through forests. It leads... More

From the SC State Parks website, Devil's Fork State Park looks AWESOME - rock formations, water falls!? Yes, please! So three of us went there on a Saturday. Unfortunately this park is not as awesome as it appears. The lady in the park office was not very friendly or eager to help us by telling us about the park. I... More

We are approaching our third visit to Devil's Fork Villas and are so excited to return to this beautiful park. We would like to bring our own kayaks because the rentals in the off season are at the whim of the staff (we think it is outsourced). The lake is pristine and the villas are right on the lake. Absolutely... More

This is the public face of Lake Jocassee. If you want to camp, rent a cabin, be on the water, or hike, you've gotta come here and pay.

Take your boat. Lake Jocasse is awesome. We have camped here 2 summers in a row. We stayed in site 49 this year, next to the bathroom. We were in a tent. This SP campground has small sites compared to others. The water/electric hookups at this site were weird. The water dripped across the driveway constantly. Our large tent barely... More

We've stayed in the villas previously, but camped this past weekend! What a glorious place! The campsites are large, well-laid out, and nicely-spaced apart. The bathrooms are heated!!!! Also each shower has a private dressing room - much appreciated! We really love this park, and can't wait to go back.
