We're very glad we visited the aquarium...the conveyer belt through the tanks was fantastic! It was also very cool getting the opportunity to touch stingrays, sharks, and crabs. Aside from that, there wasn't a lot of activities or exhibits that we were interested in. It was actually a small place, and cost about $60 for the three of us. However,... More

We went to the Ripley's Aquarium for something to do on a day when the weather wasn't so good. For 2 adults and one child we spent $59 with a coupon. The main attraction in the aquarium is a large ocean display with the moving walkway where the tank is like a tunnel that you go through and the fish,... More

I've been here several times with my kids. Every time it's an enjoyable experience. So many kinds of sea life to see. It never gets old. Great atmosphere. I definitely recommend paying the extra for the stingray experience, but check into booking it in advance as it may fill up.,My girls loved it!

We visited here for the first time in Dec 2011 and I had posted a favorable review on TripAdvisor. This was our second trip but we won't be going back again...it was just boring. Nothing much had changed since our last trip a year and a half ago. The aquarium tunnel was still pretty cool, as were the other fish... More

Pretty small as aquariums go. The "glidepath" was fun but you had to go on it more than once to see everything properly. We tragically went on a weekday at the end of the school year which meant 1000 of yelling children. Okay, it was only one school group but they were very loud. Not a lot of creatures but... More

The aquarium was nice but it is SMALL. You can see everything within a half hour, it is way to little for the price per person! You can visit the Zoo and be there all day for half the price of the aquarium.

Toured this attraction on a stormy day during Spring Break. The exhibits are beautiful. I give it an average for the confusing layout and poor crowd control. We bought our tickets online which I highly recommend. Even so, the crowd was so huge it took 15 minutes or more to gain door access. Being city folk we understand how to... More

Enjoyed everything about this place except for the advertised "mermaids" were non-existant when we visited on a late Sunday afternoon. They should be much clearer in their advertising that the mermaid shows are quite limited. Beautiful walk through exhibit. Unusual rays. Neat octopus, sawfish, etc. Go see for yourself, but call ahead if you don't want to miss the mermaids.

At first I was reluctant to visit because I was expecting the same stuff as a Ripley's museum. Glad I went! The flow for visitors is great and makes use of all of the buildings space. Too many species of aquatic life to name. Not the cheapest attraction but well worth a visit while in Myrtle Beach. Very kid friendly.

I took my elderly mother to this attraction and WE BOTH had a blast. It was very educational and fun at the same time. They have a nice place to get food and you can take your time and look around at your leasure. There were many places to stop and rest and all kinds of different things to see... More
