Charleston National was a mixed experience for our foursome. The pro shop was very accommodating, the bag drop and starter were also fine. The course is in fair condition, but does offer great views. The course needs to be better marked as to where the next hole locations are as the two groups in front of us went the wrong... More

The river and harbour views from the course are magnificent. The course is very challenging, but forgiving on some holes. The course is usually very busy, but the staff are friendly and helpful. One of the delightful public courses in the Charleston area.

I have played this Rees Jones course multi[le times. Each time, I promise myself that I will not return. While the design is far superior to Patriot Point Links, the condition of the course is typically inferior. The pace of play -- even when few are on the course -- is dreadful. I have quit playing multiple times. I have... More

I thoroughly enjoyed the course and its challenges as well as the nature views on every hole. The staff was very friendly and this course is now on my list for every time I visit Charleston. One tip is to book as far ahead as possible. It is a popular course at a good price so it fills up daily.

You can't ask for a better place to play and take lessons. Great staff and teachers, as well as golf equipment. The driving range and practice putting green is excellent, and the views of the Lowcountry's natural beauty make it a great outing!

Challenging course in a very beautiful setting, very well maintained. It offers an excellent value for the greenfee compared to other courses in the Charleston area

Nice public course. Can be challenging for the high handicap player. Watch out for the occasional aligator sunning on the tees.

My Father, Brother, and I played Charleston National on 5/21/12 all with average handicaps. The course was a good and fun layout and was well maintained. However, we felt that the tee boxes were completely horrible. I do not understand how the rest of the course could be in pretty good shape and the tee boxes weren't even as nice... More

This course is old-school, classic and 1st class service. The greens were fast, putts rolled true. It's a bit out of the way, but worth the drive and price. Don't bother with Patriots Point, come to this course if you want a solid day of great golf and views.

Hard on us "duffers", but unbelievely beautiful. "Carrys" everywhere. Occassional aligators. Diverse "low country" views.
