We have been spending our vacations at Kiawah for years, and we LOVE it! The beaches are beautiful and not as crowded because you have to be staying on the island to get through the gate. For years we stayed in different condos, and they fit the bill nicely. When our grandchildren came along we needed more space, so we... More

Kiawah Island is a great place to vacation! We usually go in mid to late April or early May. This is actually not the high season and rates are lower although the weather has always been great for the pool or beach. We never have any bugs at this time of year either! Make sure that if you do not... More

The beaches are wide and uncrowded (even in the summer!), great biking, birdwatching and many family-oriented activities. Golf and tennis. The villas are well-appointed and great for families. We really like Turtle Point.

If you like golf and nature a great place to visit. A little too quiet in April for us, but would love to return I. The height of the summer.

While visiting in nearby Charleston on a cold and windy day, we decided to drive south to visit Kiawah Island, having heard nice things about it and seeing it in South Carolina tourism ads. Upon arriving at the main entrance to the island, we stopped at the gate house where we were asked about our intentions while visiting their sacred... More

We absolutely love our time spent in Kiawah. It is a quiet island with abundant natural beauty and wildlife. In spite of its very peaceful, quiet atmosphere there is much to do including world class golf and tennis. There are miles of bike paths throughout the island, along with pools and parks. If you wish to go into downtown Charleston,... More

Don't go in early March, windy cold. Oak point has indoor seating. No indoor seating at Cougar Point. Guard gates are a pain. Got there early on Sunday and wanted to take a look at the Ocean Course. no luck when we got to the SECOND guard gate!

Beautiful place to visit! I would suggest renting a bike and viewing the lovely home or a stroll down the beach.

I can't wait for our annual trip to Kiawah each year! The golf courses are so beautiful (how they keep all of them so green and gorgeous is beyond me!)! The beaches are clean-pristine clean. The staff everywhere you go-Sanctuary, Villas, Market, whatever-are always on point and so helpful. I love the shopping in the village-I pack lightly for our... More
