I will guide you on a memorable two-hour walking tour that includes an introduction to some of our most celebrated landmarks and hidden gems that make this such a special place to visit. About 10 generations back (1685), my family immigrated from France to Charleston to seek religious tolerance as French Huguenots (Protestants). There is a rich history and culture I would like to share and look forward to showing you the sights of our beautiful city, creating an experience you will remember for years to come! « less

What a great way to learn about Charleston. We thoroughly enjoyed our time with Brian. He was a great guide who obviously really enjoys sharing his city. I would highly recommend this walking tour. More

Brian did a private walking for us and it was awesome. He came right to our hotel to pick us up at the Francis Marion. We got to get a good look at the campus and so many houses. Brian was a wealth of information. I enjoyed the walking tour so much because we could see everything up close and... More

Brian's passion, knowledge, and personality make him what you wish every tour guide was. As a trained historian, my opinion is that Brian does his job right and he does it well. He offers the perfect mix of information and narrative, and he makes a few hours pass by like a few joyful minutes. Take this tour! More

Seven of us took a private walking tour with Brian who is owns and operates Charleston Sole Tours. It was a 2 1/2 hour tour beginning at our hotel, the Francis Marion and continuing into the historical section of Charleston. It included a walk through of the College of Charleston campus which is beautiful and contined pointing out many historical... More

Sharon and I thoroughly enjoyed our walking tour of Charleston with Brian on Thursday (4/19). I have personally been on a dozen tours of Charleston like this one and this is, without a doubt, the most personal, congenial and best researched of the ones I've experienced. Brian is so energized about sharing his knowledge and his love for our city.... More

I was suspicious when I saw over 100 excellent ratings for this tour. Brian totally lives up to the rating. He loves the city, it's interesting history and southern charm. He knows where to take the best photos, where to find those hidden public restrooms, drinking fountains and occasional shade or air conditioning along the way. All this, while information... More

Don't miss this tour and don't take any other! Brian is an absolute encyclopedia about Charleston. He talks the entire time during the tour with enthusiasm and great passion about the city. His resturant and other sightseeing recommendations were outstanding as well. Brian also gives walkers a chance for rest stop breaks so don't think you can't do this. If... More

Brian loves Charleston and you will too after taking his Charleston walking tour. He knows his stuff and he is an amazing Charleston history buff. While tours that passed us seemed quite impersonal and too large, Brain makes his tours personal and keeps them small to offer plenty of time to see and hear about Charleston's rich history. You will... More

Brian is great. He really knows the city. I have done many tours in Charleston, and he is one of the best. He gave us 3 hours of his time, vs the 2 hours listed. He was very accommodating of staying in the shade, pointing out the bathrooms. He even "spoke" with me via email before we came to town... More

My friend and I were visting Charleston for a wedding, and Brian was able to accomodate our flight time arriving later and get us in on our own private tour. The weather was hot, but we didnt notice as we instantly became charmed by Charleston's mix of history and architecture. Brian was a wonderful tour guide and history buff which... More
