One of our favorite walks is the Clayhead Trail. Nice variety of landscapes to view, even a lovely beach. Birding is good so bring your binoculars.

Well worth a day of hiking. You'll be surprised by the beauty of this area. Most of the time it is quiet, so you will feel alone. Some places offer horse riding on the trails. Highly recommended that you bring lots of water and a snack, and don't forget the camera!

The walking trails are so well maintained and lead you to the most beautiful views. The entire Island was so peaceful and tranquil that one almost forgets all the day to day worries. This was my first time to Block Island and it most certainly won't be my last. I am not a "beach" person and I still had so... More

We loved the paths and trails that just let you wonder on and on to take in the smells of rose hips and the sounds of the birds and rustling of grass.

If you want to take in native wildlife and foliage, this is the place for you. Wear comfortable clothes and shoes - trail is sandy. Bring your camera and start out early to catch early morning "critters". Mornings can be foggy, but it burns off fast, so don't let that discourage you.

My wife and I hiked along the greenway trails to Black Rock Beach. We got a taxi from the center of town to the intersection of Champlin Rd and West Side Rd and began our hike- cost about $11. Most of the hike is on pretty well-maintained grass trails, although there are spots with uneven rocks and a couple of... More
