Beautiful hidden gem in our city. Love the history contained in this little chapel. A great place to vist.
The exterior is deceptively small. The outside looks like any older, neighborhood church. But on the inside, what a difference. The almost life-size stations of the cross sculptures are exquisite. Then there are the relics. There is not one inch of the interior not adorned by a relic. So much to take in. This chapel is a little difficult to...

I'm not a Catholic, but I find relics equalling intriguing and disturbing. Mind-blowing to think about this whole business of relics.
Wished the place was better archived and research friendly. I think they do the best with what resources (human and fiscal) they have. I would have liked to have seen a booklet that displayed and labeled each relic, all...

If you are Catholic, this is a "don't miss" place in Pittsburgh. It's located on Troy Hill across the highway from the Heinz plant. It has the second largest collection of relics next to the Vatican, and it houses 3/4 size Stations of the Cross that are incredible. A gift shop is across the street. Call for hours as they...

I lived in Pittsburgh for 4 years before visiting this church. It is 5 minutes from downtown and I really never knew about it. A friend recommended visiting the church and what a surprise. I would place this church in the same category as churches in old Europe. It was build in the late 1800s. A couple of unique points,...

We were in time for a guide explaining the history and describing all of the beautiful relics The very lifelike Stations of the Cross are bigger than most...

This small church has many relics and almost life sized stations. It is something everyone should experience. The antique wood working is an art in self.
If you're steeped in Catholicism, you have to visit. You can have a guided tour or just look around and take in the wonderment. It is absolutely exquisite.
St. Anthony's has the largest relics collection in the US. The docents are quite knowledgeable. The hours that it is open are variable, so be sure to check to make sure that it is open when you go.
A great spot for the pious, and those interested in history and art history. The tour guide gives an indepth presentation drawn from her expert knowledge and her personal experience as a native of Pittsburgh. The tour presentation is appropriate for an audience of teenagers and adults; our young children grew fidgety so we quietly crept out. The large wooden...
